It helps find cheaper flights.
Customers will notice alternative dates to the original ones they are choosing for departure. They can then click to see if a different day of departure will save them money.
Anyone that is flexible, on a budget, or just wanting a great value vacation can use this.
A typical example might be changing your departure date to a weekday instead of on the weekend, when it normally costs more to fly.
Alternatively, you might choose to use theÂ fly-hotel feature to book a weekend in New York. This could save you 25 percent, if you are spending three nights in the city.
The lowest price feature can also be used if you are flying and driving. For example, if leaving on Saturday, a customer might have to pay 15 percent more than if they left on a Tuesday. This is based on a seven-day trip with flight and a car rental service.
The ba.com site shows you right away, so there are no unhappy surprises.
If you are planning on flying to Europe, a two-day difference could mean paying nearly double the price.
If you need a non-stop flight for the holidays, British Airways will look for the nearest date available that has one you can use.
