Delta Air Lines has introduced a virtual lemonade stand on their Facebook page. Facebook users can now open their own virtual lemonade stand and post personal stories and experiences about loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer.

During October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Delta Airlines will donate one hundred Sky Miles to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) for every Delta iPhone application downloaded, and for each check-in using the mobile application.

Up to one million Sky Miles will be donated all-up.

Mobile phone users can text DRINKPINK to 27722 to donate $5, while sales from onboard jellybeans and pink lemonade will still be contributed.

This year, Delta introduced a new Boeing 767-400 signature pink aeroplane in support of BCRF. The aircraft has the pink ribbon logo adjacent to the boarding door and the tail of the airplane.

Delta’s Boeing will make special visits all over the United States with Delta employees who are breast cancer survivors and airline executives. They will then then fly overseas to help raise awareness for the BCRF. Current scheduled stops are Spain, Italy and Brazil.

The pink plane will fly around 2.1 million miles this year. That is enough miles to circle the globe more than eighty-four times.

The old pink and white aircraft that has been replaced flew from 2005 to 2010 across Latin America, the Caribbean and throughout the US to raise awareness for the cause.
