The Canadian airline, WestJet, has just started a new, seasonal non-stop service between Toronto, Canada, and Santa Clara, Cuba.

“We are delighted to introduce service to our fourth destination in Cuba,” said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Strategy and Planning. “Beautiful Santa Clara will provide our guests with the opportunity to experience history, architecture and culture served with Cuban flair.”

One-way fares, available in both directions on non-stop flights only, are available from $149 plus applicable taxes and fees. Fares are available by calling WestJet’s Sales Super Centre at 1-888-WESTJET (937-8538), your preferred travel agent or by visiting westjet.com.

WestJet flies non-stop from Toronto to some of the most beautiful sun destinations, including Cancun, Montego Bay, Holguin, Varadero, Cozumel, Miami, Freeport, Turks and Caicos, and St. Maarten. As part of its 2010-2011 winter schedule, WestJet is also adding non-stop service from Toronto to New Orleans and Grand Cayman. WestJet will fly between Toronto and Santa Clara once a week, every Friday. Here are the schedule details valid from November 5, 2010 to April 29, 2011: From Toronto: Flight W2536 departs 9:15 am, and arrives at 12:55 pm. From Santa Clara: Flight WS2537 departs 1:55 pm, arrives at 5:29 pm.
