Pain Sufferers: #GivingTuesday – What Are You Going to Do?

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by social media that is observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the big time consumerism that is Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy, and we at National Pain Report want to encourage those of you who can, to give to a cause that matters to people in pain.

Here’s the thought:  If each of the 100 million Americans gave a quarter to a cause that matters to them, organizations that support people in pain would have $25 million to fund research, education and public policy initiatives.

Here are a few organizations, both big and small, that you might consider supporting:

US Pain Foundation

For Grace

American Cancer Society

National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association

Arthritis Foundation

National Headache Foundation

The National Pain Foundation

National Fibromyalgia Association

American Chronic Pain Association

American Diabetes Association

Pain Exhibit

The Pain Community

Migraine Research Foundation

There are many other nonprofit organizations globally that do critical work for people in pain, and we encourage you to consider donating to one of your choice.

If you’d like to support National Pain Report and help us cover more of what matters to you, let us know –

Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation. Its partners include Google, Microsoft, Skype, Cisco, UNICEF, the Case Foundation, and others. In 2014, #GivingTuesday generated over $45 million in donations to charities around the globe.
