PBS Kids and Borders are promoting learning science to preschoolers. By teaming up together, Borders is throwing a “Seuss-ical” celebration this Saturday, September 18th. This is in celebration of “The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That” a TV series from PBS Kids.

Borders will be having in store promotions and giveaways. There will be games, story time, crafts, and songs. Even The Cat himself will make a special appearance at certain locations.

The PBS show guides characters going on adventures where they make discoveries through natural science. Like how owls sleep during the day or how bees make honey. The show is based on the series, “The Cat in the Hat Learning Library”. This series takes preschoolers and gets them involved in exploring science and discovering new things by using illustrations and Seussian rhyme.

When the series becomes available on DVD, Borders will offer it for sale. They have also set up a special web page:  www.bordersmedia.com/backlot/catinthehat.asp where families can go and see footage of behind the scenes and receive a special greeting from Martin Short who provides the voices in the stories and exclusive content will also be provided.
