Spooky Zoo Spectacular on Saturday at Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago, IL

The 24th annual Spooky Zoo Spectacular in Chicago, Illinois will be this Saturday, October 23rd at the Lincoln Park Zoo. The Spooky Zoo Spectacular is totally free of charge, and will be open between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hosted by the Lincoln Park Zoo Auxiliary Board, the event will give kids and families an opportunity to celebrate Halloween in a safe and unique environment.

Young visitors will show off their costumes and go trick or treating throughout the zoo. They will also learn about the zoo’s animals. Free entertainment will be provided for the whole family, and the kids can make scary crafts at the Kovler Lion House.

This year’s Spooky Zoo Spectacular is sponsored by Tetra Pak, a global leader in sustainable carton packaging.

Tetra Pak will be having product give-aways, kid friendly games and prizes, and tips for a green Halloween. Their tent will be at the Eastern end of the zoo’s main mall. Parents just need to bring the kids by to show their green costumes, play games, and collect samples.

Since Tetra Pak’s mission is to protect the Earth’s resources, they are asking families to go green this year or make eco-friendly alternatives for Halloween costumes, decorations and the rest of their Halloween items.
