Virgin America won top honors last nightÂ as the “Best Domestic Airline” among US domestic carriers in the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler’s 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards at the IAC Building in Manhattan.
After its startup in August 2007, Virgin America has captured the Best Domestic Airline award for the third year in a row, as picked by a survey of 25,916 readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. The full results of this year’s awards will be reported in the November issue of the publication next month.
The President and CEO of Virgin America, David Cush, said the award was proof of the airline’s industry-leading service, and was a testament to the whole team’s hard work to build a different kind of airline right from the passenger upwards. He said he was pleased that the airline was doing so well with travelers who expect more from a domestic airline.
To celebrate the award, Virgin America is today launching a “Flattery Will Get You Everywhere We Fly” fare sale, with fares as low as $34, with some restrictions, taxes and fees. The fare sale tickets must be purchased by October 15, 2010, at 11:59pm PDT and travel on those tickets, for most of the network, must take place between October 20th this year and February 15th next year.
