The president of TGIC Importers, Mr Alex Guarachi, has handed over a second $50,000 check to the Music Relief Fund, which is raising money for earthquake repairs in Chile. This brings the total donated by GIC to $100,000.

The Music Relief fund is in partnership with the Habitat for Humanity which is also part of the project.

During the months of March, April, and May, consumers bought bottles of Santa Ema and Montes wines. Every time a bottle sold, a portion would go towards the Music for Relief.

The Relief is donating 100% of the money raised to Chile for rebuilding their country after the recent big earthquake. Not one cent went towards administrative costs. These were paid out of pocket.

TGIC’s goal was to raise $50,000, and they reached it. They are thankful for all the consumers buying the wine, those trying the wine out for the first time, and others helping with the cause to raise money for earthquake repair.

With the six month anniversary of the earthquake approaching, Chile still needs to rebuild. There are still more than two million people that are homeless in Chile, so please do not forget them.
